Experiments
Material and motion studies built for this site. They are written down here rather than linked, because the versions that still run carry a control panel that is not meant for visitors.
- Living metalA growth mask injected into the model's own material, so metal spreads like a symbiote instead of wiping across like a scan line. Branching noise, several seed points, small islands ahead of the front, and a wet leading edge. The original texture identity survives underneath — the metal grows over it, it does not replace it.
- Reverse thawOne scroll value drives the shader mask, the per-bone stiffness, the idle recovery, the text windows and the light temperature. Every consumer reads the same number, so nothing can drift out of sync. Where the metal still holds, the body cannot move; where it has let go, the idle comes back. Running on the first resident's page.
- Portal continuityCrossing from one page to another without a cut: the zoom, the black frame and the arrival share a single timeline. The seam has nowhere to show because there is no second beginning — the next page picks up the same clock the previous one handed over.
